Jeff Haward MM celebrates his 100th Birthday !

At the end of July, Middlesex Regiment veteran Jeff Haward became a centurion, duly receiving his telegram from Her Majesty the Queen. His birthday was celebrated by a family party, during which a Spitfire flew over the house not once but twice, performing Victory Rolls ! We still have no idea who was behind this. Surely once was miraculous, but twice ?

The previous day the event was celebrated at the War and Peace Revival at the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood. It featured being ‘serenaded’ by a Pipe Band.
