Fighting Hitler from Dunkirk to D-Day

The biography of Jeff Haward MM. Jeff was a Vickers machine gunner with the 1/7th Middlesex Battalion. He fought in France in 1940 and was evacuated from Dunkirk. After a spell of coastal defence, the battalion was attached to the famous 51st Highland Division and went out to North Africa, taking part in the Battle of El Alamein and the remainder of the desert campaign. Wounded in Sicily, he then took part in the Normandy invasion and ultimately throughout the NW Europe campaign. The detailed and sometimes humorous story of another extraordinary man of his generation.
