D-Day Livestream

Last month, on the 6th June itself, the highly respected Normandy Battlefield Guide, Historian and Author, Paul Woodadge, invited me to take part in a live stream from the region. Being frustrated that I was unable to actually be out there, it was the next best thing and turned out to be a very enjoyable experience. With footage by top guide, Colin Taylor, the route followed was from the gatehouse at Varaville, to the bridge over the Divette. Then down to the Troarn Bridge and finally back to the area of the Chateau St Come. This can be seen below and begins at 2:02;30.

The whole day-long programme is wonderful, with superb talks by historians that are authorities on their subjects, such as Joe Balkoski.

Paul has followed this up with programmes on virtually each day since then. WW2TV is freely available.
